Colchester Morris Men's animal is a dog, perhaps a bit dalmatian
(though more intelligent) but certainly Spotted.   

He is perhaps a trifle square-jawed for a Dog (haling from a decidedly
pre-fibre-glass era, this is a reflection of his plywood and timber
construction), but a dog he was made, and a dog he will stay.  He answers to
the name Wilbur, and was created by Ewart "Rusty" Russell, sometime Bagman of
Colchester, and Fool too.  Rusty, as well as fathering Wilbur, fathered Bob
Russell M.P., a friend of Morris now in that devilish Palace of Westminster.
